    People have used advertising"For Sale"for many years.In fact,people in ancient Greece used advertising to sell their houses.In the 1400's,advertising was changed by the invention of the printing press.After the Civil War,advertising became popular in America.At first,they only sold newspapers and magazines,but later they also wrote and produced their own ads.In the 1920's,advertising has revolutionized by the radio and in 1940's television, so companies could inform millions of people about their products.Recently, advertising is used on the Internet and with e-mail.Most companies have hired firms that specialize in making ads. In making an ad side, the first step is to study the product and see who uses it. Customers give lots of information, so market research takes a look at consumers' sample survey and try to find out how the customer would decide to buy the product. the age, sex and social status of a consumer may be important to find out where and when is the best time and location to sell the product.For example, snowboards may be sold in the winter. Also, it's important to decide which kind of media is the best to advertise. Advertising have prepared photos or images in creative way if an advertising is to public in newspapers, magazines and on radio or TV. Laws that protect consumer from harmful advertising have been made by the government. For example,advertising of tobacco is not allowed on TV in many countries because it is harmful for kids. Let's take people's opinion about advertising. same of them say that advertising informs the consumer about new products and services we want.Also, advertising can help some free radio, TV show and website to maintain. Advertising has supported them, so the services will be not free with out advertising. On the other hand, critics say that consumers pay lots of money for value of brand, so sometimes people buy extra products.Sometimes it can affect bad things for consumers such as issues with pollution and higher debt. It also can affect bad things for children because they don't know which products are good for them.

     I think advertising can affect us in a good or bad way, so  we have to be knowledgeable about the products before we buy them. I haven't look at advertising as seriously because I had thought that advertising is not that important to me until I read this article.In fact, I have been affected with a good impression by advertising even thought I didn't pay attention to them, so I have to research the disadvantages and advantages of products not only from advertising. I think looking at other consumers' reviews is better way to know the advantages and disadvantages of products. It had became easy to know about the products by advertising but we shouldn't forget that there are some limitations. I personally think that people would worry about disadvantages. Some companies trick us and hide disadvantages from us.

   There are some regulations when selling certain products. When companies sell the products, they have to make sure that the advertising is not exaggerated ads. For example, when you see the products being advertised, there are some claims such as "It is on sale for now!!" But it's not "only for now", the advertising disobeys the rule of advertising. I think when advertise, we have to add disadvantage.Also, I have experience that food I order is not similar to the pictures the company uses to advertise their products. I know that some experts take pictures of appealing foods by using many special tricks, but sometimes it can be way too different that the actual product!! Sometimes they don't use real foods in advertising I think advertising should use real foods and should be real!!
