Advertising-Tomomi

              Nowadays, we often see advertising in our life in newspaper, radio, trains and magazines. Advertising started in ancient Greece, if people wanted to sell items another places, they wrote “For sale” and hung on the sides of their house. In Middle Ages, when people sold items, they hung on wooden signs for showing. The radio and television‘s advertising were revolutionized in 1900s. Nowadays, the Internet and e-mail have been developing new advertising plans. Most companies hire special advertiser for making good advertisings. Firstly, they learn about the product and understand who use it. Market researchers research about the customer’s buying products, behavior sample surveys and try to discover how customers rate several brands of manufactures and why customers buy a product. When customers buy something, they depend on advertising. It is important to decide which kind of media is best to advertising the product. People create developing idea advertising. They prepare pictures or images when they show the advertising for customers in newspaper and magazines. Governments have made rules for protecting for customers deceptive advertising. There are also rules for banning certain kinds of advertising. People have opinions agree or disagree about advertising. In pros side, people say advertising information can be helped us about what is the new manufactures and services, if new products increases sales, the companies can lower costs and cheaper for making things. Moreover, advertising helps the company and gives jobs to many people. Advertising assists in supporting other event or ticket prices or TV, radio as sponsor. On the other hand, critics say that consumers pay for advertising through higher prices to product. In addition, people sometimes buy manufactures but they don’t need them so they waste of money. If they don’t need them, they throw away goods so lead to more pollution and waste. Advertisers very often target to children. Children sometimes don’t know which products are good or bad. If fast food or snack companies show advertising them then lead to overweight and diabetes.
           I agree with advertising lead to us about new products and services. Because, advertising is gave information for us. We understand immediately that what kind of the product through advertising uses slogan and more pictures. Other drawback is that I think advertising is not very often the main target for children. I think children know which buy the wrong thing and they don’t have money to pay. If children don’t know what is the product good or bad to buy something, their family teaches them about that. So first foods and snack companies advertising don’t affect to children to fatness and diabetes.
         In Japan, when I was working, people give out to tissue for free. The tissues are wrote advertising and called to people by some slogans and pictures such as “Please smoke limited place” or “Don’t reach out drugs”. Calling people in public like that by Government, people catch their eye and they stop anything.
